About this Section
Section P of the SSIC covers education at all levels and in all forms. It includes pre-primary and primary education, general secondary and technical and vocational secondary education, post-secondary non-tertiary education, tertiary education provided by colleges and universities, and post-graduate programmes leading to masterโs and doctoral degrees. The section also brings together other education activities: sports and recreation education such as driving schools, language teaching, fine arts, music and dance schools, training centres, professional development courses, e-learning platforms and educational support services such as exam preparation, tutoring, student counselling and educational consultancy.
For Saudi providers, the codes in Section P are aligned with licences issued by the Ministry of Education, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), and the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) where training programmes are co-financed. The selected SSIC code defines accreditation requirements, eligibility for HRDF support, VAT treatment of educational services, Saudisation requirements and reporting to GASTAT in line with the Human Capability Development Programme of Vision 2030.
This page presents the single division of Section P with English and Arabic titles, the official code from the January 2025 edition of the SSIC, and a link to related HS customs tariff items for educational equipment.
